About me
I am a singing teacher, vocal therapy practitioner and composer, specialising in close-harmony singing.
I have been teaching singers of all ages and levels for over 15 years, in educational settings and privately. I have also been the musical director for a number of choirs.
I have delivered singing lessons, workshops and masterclasses at BIMM, Bath Spa University, Westonbirt Schools (teaching from the ABRSM and Rockschool syllabuses), Bristol Conservatoire, and Hereford College of Arts.
I have worked extensively with performance artists, professional singers, theatre companies, theatres and ensembles. I hold a Masters from the University of Cambridge and I supervise BA and MA students for AMS.
I am also an accredited Forest Therapy Practitioner (Shinrin Yoku), and I have developed therapeutic methods of working with singers that incorporate mindfulness and Somatic Inquiry. I have been trained by Samaritans, by Bristol City Council Fostering Service in the Bristol Model of Trauma-Informed care, and I received mentoring from Jonathan Foust.
As a professional singer and composer I have extensive experience in the Music and Arts sectors. I specialise in working with vocal ensembles, and have staged pieces for theatre, film and BBC Radio 4.
As a creative producer and artist, I work with groups of people to foster different ways of being and doing that bring us wellness and wellbeing.
