Somatic Inquiry, breath and resonance practices are a powerful, practical way to alleviate stress and anxiety, and to come into a better relationship with your voice. We each deserve to be heard, and we must start by hearing ourselves without undue shame, doubt or anxiety.
Whether you are a creative, a public figure, professional or an executive, I will support you to move beyond rumination or negative self-talk, and to restore physical and emotional states of balance. We can transform how you relate to yourself, and how you go on to express yourself in the workplace, in the family, on stage, singing, or in public-facing settings.
With zero pressure to use the voice, we start by finding respect for ourselves and our bodies, and responding with compassion towards its protective responses and impulses.

I invite you to discuss what might be causing the stress in your life, and use somatic methods to get to the heart of your physical and emotional experience. I will help you understand, and then calm, sympathetic nervous system activation, by reducing the hormones associated with stress, such as cortisol and adrenaline.
You will learn how to tune into your body's deep responses, and then to ease discomfort by using techniques that engage your parasympathetic nervous system.
We will bring your body and mind into the same place at the same time.

Voice Therapy - Single Session Options

Session time: 1hr 30mins
This session includes a deep exploration into why you may experience discomfort or anxiety around using your voice. We will start to understand triggers, and, in a safe, calm and confidential environment, we will address past experiences with compassion and with acceptance.
We will use vocal and breathing techniques to work with your body and bring you into a state of ease and safety.
You will learn effective embodiment practices that will help you to shift unhelpful patterns, unpleasant physical sensations and the negative thoughts keeping you from sensing the joy of freedom of expression.

Session time: 1hr 30mins
In this session we will learn how to use the voice as a therapeutic tool for dealing with anxiety, panic and depression. You will come away with techniques that will help you to soothe sympathetic nervous system responses, and bring you into a state of calm.
You will also learn resonance practices that will help you to find the condition of embodied presence, which will help you to stop rumination. These are powerful ways that will break up the shit show, and can be used as a form of meditation and mindfulness.

These sessions include a gentle exploration of the physical, emotional and mental barriers that may be blocking expression.
Somatic Inquiry is a facilitated process of tuning into the body and mind’s present-moment responses with utmost compassion and respect.
We will work in a state embodied presence, from which we will seek a deep sense of clarity that bypasses overthinking. From this clarity and peace of mind we might release held tension and beliefs that may be preventing freedom of expression.
You will gain insight into how to move through the negative thought patterns, triggers, shame or embarrassment that might be keeping you from the pleasure of using your voice or singing.

Voice Therapy & Shinrin Yoku - Packages

Course duration: five x 1.5hr sessions
Through this game-changing package of five sessions you will learn effective practices that will help you to shift unhelpful patterns, unpleasant physical sensations and the negative thoughts keeping you from sensing the joy of freedom of expression.
Through the five 1.5hr sessions, we will go on a deep exploration into why you may experience discomfort or anxiety around using your voice. You will gain a sense of confidence, clarity and find peace.

Course duration: 8 x 1.5hr sessions
This is an in-depth and powerful course of eight sessions that will change your relationship with yourself for the better forever.
We will give space for a deep exploration into the issues that have been holding you back. Starting with Somatic Inquiry, you will gain clarity and insight into the responses of your body, and we will use a variety of techniques that are tailored to your specific needs. These might include voice based practices, or Shinrin-yoku.

Course duration: four x 1.5hr sessions
This course of four sessions will give you tools and techniques to help you to alleviate anxiety around being heard in public. You will gain an understanding of the parasympathetic nervous system, and learn to work with stage fright.
These sessions are confidential and trauma informed, and we will be getting to the root of why you feel your nerves, as well as creating a strategy for how to transform the negative hormonal effects into positive ones.

Shinrin Yoku (Forest Therapy) is the practice of mindful immersion in nature. It is scientifically proven to have powerful health and wellbeing outcomes, and, when combined with voice practices, it will give you the means to find deep healing and revitalisation for the rest of your life.
It is profoundly restorative and will reset your attention, clarify focus and reduce stress.
