Learning Duets with Friends and Loved Ones

  • Learn a duet for the wedding!

    This can be presented as a unique and thoughtful gift, so that lovers can harmonise together, and crack out the song on their honeymoon or on long romantic walks!

    Learning the duet can be done in one enjoyable day or split over a few sessions as is appropriate. The sessions include singing tuition, as well as performance tips.

    The lovebirds will receive a recording of the song, and recordings of their parts with which to practise, as well as lessons in how to sing the material to the best of their ability. They will be supported in how best to present the song at the reception or a time of their choosing.

    This is a romantic and joyous process, and is a gift that keeps on giving!

    Learn a duet that will last a lifetime of friendship. You can crack out a duet after dinner, or whilst on a walk, or for a performance.

    This session incorporates a singing lesson as well as learning a song in two part harmony.

    You can order this as a unique gift, or even get a group together! It is for 2 to 8 people, so you can split the cost.

    Want to sing harmonies but don’t want to join a choir? Want to get singing lessons but can’t afford it?

    This session combines improving your technique with singing in harmony, without the commitment to a weekly choir. Think fun masterclass meets a-cappella group.

    Get together a small group of up to 8 people per session, so you can split the cost (£15 per session if there are 8 of you).

    You are welcome to come for regular sessions to develop a repertoire, or to hone one piece ready for performance.

    We can discuss the group’s needs or ambitions, and tailor the sessions to meet them.

    We can explore your current artistic work, which you can present for feedback. We can discuss avenues for staging/presentation, strategies for funding and partnership, and explore how to connect with your audiences.

    We will discuss your creative practice and ambitions for your work, and find practical solutions for R&D.

    We can explore your current piece, which you can present for feedback, and, if it involves vocal performance, we can hone the skills you need to be able to effectively present your piece.

    We will design an integrated voice practice for you to be able to improve your vocal ability in line with your professional commitments, whilst fitting it in to your life seamlessly.

    Masterclass for Colleges, Universities, Choirs and Schools

    Please contact me to discuss the needs of your group, so that I can create a bespoke session that will be informative and fun. These sessions can be extremely powerful and can inform future practice and transform people's relationship with singing, regardless of age or context.

    I am happy to run day masterclasses too, which can include one-to-one slots with students. Contact me to discuss a day fee.

    Workshop in Singing and Harmonising for Ensembles, Bands or Performers

    Please contact me to discuss the needs of your group, so that I can support you to hone your collective skills in singing harmony, blending and counterpoint. I can conduct singers, and help you to bring finesse to your pieces through discovering dynamic shifts, subtleties in tonal expression/texturing, timbre and resonant placement.

  • This 30 minute lesson is for young people aged between 8-15 years old.

    I prioritise the enjoyment of the young person, so that they can begin to develop a joyful relationship with singing, and start to integrate an understanding of melody, rhythm, and songs. They can work on songs of their choosing.

    They do not have to read music, but we could work on material from the ABRSM or Rockschool grade syllabuses, should that be of interest.

    I am DBS checked, with extensive experience with young people and children, including those with additional needs.
